Dr. Frenzel
Veterinarian
Dr. Christine Frenzel graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She went on to own and operate Frenzel’s Mobile Veterinary Clinic for a decade, providing compassionate, convenient care to pets and their families.
In 2022, she transitioned from mobile practice to open Hightowers Animal Hospital, where she continues her commitment to high-quality veterinary care. Driven by her passion for wildlife—especially gray wolves—Dr. Frenzel founded Hightowers’ Gray Wolf Education Center in 2025, combining education and conservation with her lifelong love of animals.
Outside of work, Dr. Frenzel enjoys running with her wolf dogs and spending time with her family, often cheering on and traveling for her children’s competitive sports.
Katie
Kaitlyn Leary is a 30-year-old wife and mother with a lifelong love for animals. She grew up in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, on a cow farm, where her passion for caring for animals began at an early age. Kaitlyn has been working at Hightowers Animal Hospital since it opened in 2022 and loves her job.
Samantha Moorefield
Hospital Manager
Samantha has worked alongside Dr. Frenzel since graduating high school in 2014, becoming a consistent part of the team in May 2019. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Animal Science and serves as the hospital manager, overseeing daily operations while ensuring both clients and patients receive exceptional care.
Samantha prides herself on providing compassion, understanding, and clear communication to every client she meets. She treats each patient as if they were her own, believing that trust and empathy are just as important as medical care.
Outside of the hospital, Samantha enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. As a family, they love hunting, riding ATVs, and making memories on vacations together.
Kasey
Kennel Assistant
Kasey has been working with Hightowers Animal Hospital for about six months. She graduated from Rockingham County High School and brings genuine enthusiasm to her role. Kasey loves animals and says getting to come to work and handle them makes this the best job ever.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son, being around animals of any kind, and enjoying the outdoors—especially when the weather is warm.
Pam
Kennel Assistant
Pam has worked at Hightowers Animal Hospital since October 2024. Born and raised in Alamance County, she is a Williams High School graduate, earned her undergraduate degree from Bellevue University, and completed her master’s degree at Cornell University. She retired after 20 years with Wells Fargo before joining our team.
Pam focuses on kennel care and prides herself on treating every pet as her own while they are with us. Outside of work, she enjoys golfing, cooking, baking, and volunteering as a llama trainer for therapy animals that support autistic and Alzheimer’s patients.
Audrey
Veterinary Assistant
Audrey has been working at Hightowers Animal Hospital for about a year and a half. She is PCC and ACC certified and prides herself on staying kind and steady—even when days are busy, emotional, or challenging. She is committed to continually learning, growing, and improving her skills for the benefit of every patient.
When she’s not at the hospital, Audrey enjoys training and playing with her dog, spending time at the beach with friends, and helping around the farm.
Marissa
Veterinary Assistant
Marissa is a valued member of our veterinary team, assisting with patient care and supporting daily clinical operations. She works closely with the doctors and staff to help ensure dogs and cats feel secure and well cared for during their visits.
